Hyannis Port
The name of this room is that of one of the seven villages of the Barnstable area, Cape Cod peninsula, south west from Boston, Massachusetts. Hyannis Port is renowned for its extensive tourism and yachting. It is the starting point for the lines towards Nantucket Island and Martha’s Vineyard Island. The latter was the island of the whalers in the past and is today the island of the jet set and American presidents, from Ulysse Grant to Barack Obama. It is also the place where the movie “Jaws”, directed by Steven Spielberg, was shot. These three sites developed with great respect for the natural surroundings
The buildings, whose red cedar cladding has turned silver grey, create an aura of charm and harmony that are characteristic of this region.Relatively speaking, the Cape Cod peninsula is reminiscent of the Quiberon peninsula with its shoreline, its beaches, its flora and its summer climate. Hyannis Port, which is the largest marina of the peninsula, reminds one of the Trinité-sur-Mer. Hyannis Port is the holiday destination of the Kennedys and other famous people who often visited from Boston and New York City, like Larry Page who co-founded Google and several players of the FBA and the professional hockey league. However, it remains an accessible place where the chic “Ralph Lauren” atmosphere is relaxed. Another vision of the United States.
Little Wood Cottage
This room conjures up the atmosphere of a cottage combining a good old-fashioned British country style with elements of modern comfort.
